A successful Dyngus Day was had at the Sinking Ship last night. If you haven’t been there yet, you should!
New band on the town, The Classless, are performing tonight at the Melody Inn with The Involuntary’s. Check ‘em out and give your support to the local scene! (Doors at 6pm, Show at 7pm, 21+)
Cutting and pasting up the Rebel Doll Zine on the porch on this beautiful eve. Looking forward to this weekend!
If you are unaware, this Saturday, April 16th, is Record Store Day! Many of Indy’s finest record stores are participating, including Luna Music, Indy CD & Vinyl and Vibes. It’s going to be a great day to shop for some tasty records and listen to some great music.
Also the E.S. Jungle has an all day fest (Punks Don’t Give A Fest) and Livermortis will be playing Punk Rock Night that night! It’s going to be a crazy fun Saturday!
I plan on dropping free copies of the last God Made Robots EP where ever I go!
Had a wonderful weekend and really enjoyed the 80º weather on Sunday! It was filled with porch sitting, friend hangouts, gardening and, of course, working on Rebel Doll Zine!
Yesterday was the final deadline for all submission for the Nautical Issue (#4) which will be due out on May 1st. I’m very excited to announce that this coming issue has received 13 submissions of art and writing! That’s 5 more submissions than Issue #3′s! Very cool!
So for the next coming weeks, I will be sitting at home with a laptop to my right and my trusty typewriter to my left. Be sure to follow the official Rebel Doll Zine Twitter, Foursquare, and “like” our Facebook page. I’ve added the links below:
Time to resurrect this blog and actually do something with it.
I plan to blog all things Rebel Doll Zine, God Made Robots and other musical endeavors, and try to post some local fare. Call it a first quarter resolution.
I’m starting a zine. A 1/8 mini zine called Rebel Doll Issue #0. This mini-zine is the preview of what is to come. Things are coming together nicely for Rebel Doll Zine Issue #1.
I’m shooting for end of September for a 10-14 pg 1/2 size zine, a mix of art, music, and random personal articles. Hopefully with local contributions! Which will be available at (my) local record stores and through mail order.
Issue 0 is still available, which you can request via www.rebeldoll.com
