Update

Thursday, November 17th, 2011

I haven’t been updating because I’m working on projects!

First off, I’m working on a super secret Zine. I’ll announce when it’s out :)

Also, I started a new band that you should “like” on Facebook called The Lickers (www.Facebook.com/thelickersband)
Check out our demo tracks. We’ll be recording an EP soon! Our First scheduled show is February 25th at the Melody Inn in Indianapolis!

I’ll be getting a new phone today so I’ll be more connected :)

Cheers!

Somewhat amusing for a Tue·Amuse·Day. I’m going to be in a Go-Go’s tribute band for Halloween:

Personal Heath Update

Saturday, July 25th, 2009

So, I haven’t been keeping up with posts and I feel bad about that. I wanted to write a post on things that have been happening for the past few weeks. A personal update of sorts.

A few weeks ago my stomach was starting to hurt worse than I’ve ever felt, so bad I asked Jason to take me to the emergency room. That was a huge feat for me since I hate doctors and usually just self medicate when I’m feeling bad. Something in me told me otherwise that this wasn’t normal and I need to see someone. I was diagnosed with gall stones. It doesn’t sound like a big deal, but it is. I was given some pain killers and sent home with advice to see a surgeon for advice on if I should have the gall bladder removed.

After the weekend, I had another instance of pain. A pain so bad it brought me to tears. After a second bout at the emergency room, I opted to remove the gall bladder and scheduled a surgery with a surgeon. A surgery I was supposed to have yesterday. It was rescheduled for August 11th.

Although I’ve been feeling a bit out of it due to the pain killers, I’ve decided to go back to work on Monday. I’ve missed about two weeks already and I’ve been feeling a bit useless. I know I’ll feel better when I get back to work. I haven’t needed as many pain medications as before so that’s good.

I guess I just wanted to get a post out here with a bit of an update. Just to let you all know I’m okay and I actually look forward to getting my gall bladder removed.

Another plus is I’ve discovered 2 (not-so-new) reality shows since I’ve been on a T.V. binge: L.A. Ink and Running in Heels :)

PRN HQ

Wednesday, July 1st, 2009

I turned in my keys to my apartment on Monday, so therefore I am an official resident of the Punkrocknight House aka PRN HQ…this can be considered a good or a bad thing. I see the good in it mostly. I’m saving over $300 in rent, Jason and I share the 3rd floor, I have enough workspace to start sewing again (yay monsters), and there is a bathroom that we don’t have to share (at this moment).

Even though there is drama, which I stay out of, I don’t mind it.

Maybe I should write a book ;)

I’m so glad we have a 4 day work week this week! I busted out the vouchers last week and I need a day to do nothing. Jason is playing a show in Bloomington on Friday (Marmoset). They will be playing with the Impossible Shapes (http://www.myspace.com/theimpossibleshapes). It will be The Impossible Shapes last show.

I don’t know what we’re doing on Saturday, probably typical 4th of July stuff, like cookouts and parties.

Well whatever you are doing on the weekend, I hope it’s a good one!
