More photos at flickr (click) I think I’m going to visit Mom for Thanksgiving. So far tickets are only $300+tax. I can handle that. Mateo will be there at that time, too, and we need to catch up. It’s been 2 and a half years! I miss the desert. Music FriendsTuesday, August 19th, 2008I saw my friends from the band Detholz! this past Saturday. It was good to catch up! Their music always makes me smile. I need to make a trip up to Chicago so we can hang out. Check them out on myspace: myspace.com/thedetholz Also, B and I decided we’re going to kidnap Stieny (photo below) so he can play amazing keys for God Made Robots.

My brother and I had some more fisheye fun.
And I did a bit of cross processing to some photos of my friends’ house/backyard/dogs/etc.
There are a lot more to peruse through on my flickr site, which you can reach by clicking here Not much of an updateTuesday, August 12th, 2008A lot of things going on, but no energy to post. I went to the Indiana State Fair this weekend. It was fun- the first year I actually rode on the rides. Stayed up way too late on Saturday. Cleaned my apartment on Sunday, bought a new hat. I think I’m at 25(?) hats now. Last night I slept very well albeit neighbors at 3 in the morning yelling that they were going to punch eachother’s face in. Today, another day. Making good progress and looking forward to band practice tonight. I’ll have a photo of the hat tomorrow. It’s very nice T.G.I.F.Friday, August 8th, 2008Ten Out of Tenn ReviewTuesday, August 5th, 2008On August 1st, I saw a twitter from my friend Jenn in Chicago that said that all who are in Indianapolis must go see Ten Out of Tenn at Radio Radio that evening. Knowing that Jenn has music tastes similar to mine, I took up the offer and spent my $10 to go see them. It was definately worth the $10, considering that the show would be displaying the talents of 10 musical artists from Nashville, Tennessee. Here’s the list of artists for you to muse through. They all sound lovely, and my personal favorites are Butterfly Boucher, K.S. Rhodes, Erin McCarley, Jeremy Lister, Tyler James and Andy Davis. Erin McCarley – Matthew Perryman Jones – Tyler James – Butterfly Boucher – Griffin House – K.S. Rhodes – Trent Dabbs – Katie Herzig – Jeremy Lister – Andy Davis I was surprised to already see a line at Radio Radio at 7:45PM and I was glad I made it early. I brought a few different cameras, my Holga and my Lomo Fisheye. As soon as these are developed I will post the results. I took one to two shots each of all perfomers, I believe. In the meantime, I did have my little digicam handy and the photos have been uploaded to my flickr (click). I really enjoyed the collaborative feel of this show, in which every artist played on each other’s music (mostly). It was a fresh and innovative way to have 10 artists perform. I suppose this was done with the previous Ten Out of Tenn show. The only problem with this format is that the music all started to meld together and each artist started sounding like the next. It would have been nice if there was a bit more separation between the artists’ sounds. Other than that, the sound was really good. It’s always a pleasure to hear musicians out of Nashville, TE that are not pure country. I met a few of the artists (Erin, Andy, Jeremy and Griffin) and it would have been nice to chat with them more, but ah well. Erin did give me a nice tour of the tour bus and doted on my glasses so much that I took a few shots of her with them on :} I would also like to apoligize to Trent for confusing him with Andy! Almost all you boys wore hats and I was a bit confused! Thanks for coming out to Indianapolis, Ten out of Tenn. Hopefully you all can come back to play individually. Let me know if you do and I’ll bring my cameras ;} Photos soon!Monday, August 4th, 2008Ten out of TennFriday, August 1st, 2008I know I should be supporting the Harrison Center for the Arts tonight for first Friday, but my friend, Jenn, from Chicago informed me of Ten out of Tenn, who will be playing at Radio Radio tonight. Looks and sounds interesting.
