And it’s depressing.

At least the art that’s coming from it is amazing.

Great news! I knocked off another list item from my 101 things to do in 1001 days: 6. Buy a house!!
I am officially a homeowner
I closed on a house last week and Jason and I moved in yesterday! We are so very exited! Last night was the first night we slept in the house and it was magnificent! It was so calm and quiet (compared to our previous housing situation ["the house of usher" as my friend called it once]), and I believe I’ve had the best sleep I’ve had since I moved into my first apartment about 3 years ago. The basement is perfect for a band space and an Arts/Crafts studio. I’ve been wanting to paint and make monsters and now I’ll have the space!
Now for the fun part: Unpacking! Jason and I consider this task like Christmas
Our little space on the 3rd floor of the Punk Rock House was not big enough for all of our things, so we have a lot of stuff in boxes.
We are both so grateful for the friends that helped us yesterday, it was hot, humid and a lot of work, but you guys have no idea how amazing this move is for both of us. Thank you!
Photos soon!

I’m drinking my last Hazelnut Latte today since next week I will begin my 101 things #93: No Starbucks Coffee for 2 weeks. This is a habit that will be hard to break since there is one that I stop into on my way to work. I’m confident I can do it though. It’s just coffee and there’s free coffee in my office, plus I’ll save some dough. I plan on putting what I would have used for Starbuck in an envelope and putting aside for something special.
Also, I can cross off #86: Say “Yes” to something you normally would say no to. I’m very particular about strangers asking for cigarettes off me and I never do it. I have my reasons, for instance, I really don’t like the idea of giving someone something that I know is bad for them. Yesterday, after work, though, I gave in. I was in a particularly mellow mood walking from the bus to the house and after exchanging ‘good afternoon’ with a passerby. He asked for a cigarette, and to his surprise, I complied. He looked like he had a rough day.
In other news, I’m house hunting. I’ve been very surprised at the amazing response from all of my friends and the help that looks like I’ll be getting. I can’t wait to start looking
I’ve had a wonderful week that kicked off with a warm Sunday porch sitting and later an evening at Cocoanut Grove, so I will leave you with a photo from Sunday Night taken by my wonderful friend, Kristen Leep.

Hope you all have a great weekend! I think I’ll be starting #56: Blog everyday for one month soon – Just to warn you
